GTA VI's September and early-October campaign has delivered dated magazine coverage and new screenshots alongside the album and collector's-box announcements. The most substantial magazine package arrived on September 29, 2026, when Game Informer published issue 382 with a 14-page cover story and twelve new images.[1][2]

The cover feature, Welcome to Leonida, draws on interviews with senior Rockstar staff and discusses Florida research, weather and wildlife. LOVE Magazine followed on October 5 with its own Jason-and-Lucia cover and interview, giving readers another identified source rather than an unattributed image drop.[1][2][5]

Weather and wildlife in the reporting

VICE's account of the Game Informer material describes hurricanes and tropical storms, localised weather and wind, and details such as water running from roofs during heavy rain. It reports more than 170 animal species, including over 60 bird types and more than 30 land mammals.[3]

The same coverage lists Vice City, the Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga National Park as six featured regions. It attributes to Rockstar the description of Leonida as its largest world, roughly twice GTA V's map size. These are reported interview figures, not measurements made by this publication.[3]

Read the screenshots with their captions

IGN's analysis of the twelve Game Informer images identifies an Ambrosia bike gang as The First Chapter. Older guides use Final Chapter MC tentatively, as discussed in our Ambrosia guide; Rockstar's location copy names no club. The differing IGN labels should not be presented as a settled official name. The image analysis also points to possible sunburn and localised weight changes, notes Snapmatic, and discusses mini golf, scuba diving, zoo visits, billiards and hunting, including rare, discoverable and legendary animal categories.[4]

The evidence varies within that list. A magazine's written feature description is stronger support for a system than a reader's interpretation of an isolated frame. The images and accompanying reporting should therefore stay together when those details are repeated, rather than every visible prop becoming a confirmed activity.[4]

LOVE adds character coverage

LOVE's issue 27 appeared on October 5, following screenshots and interview extracts shared on Instagram. Its package focuses on Jason and Lucia and the work of the people writing them.[5]

A diner image prompted a Pulp Fiction comparison among fans. That is a visual interpretation, not proof of a licensed reference or a mission copying the film. The useful news is the identified image and publication date; the possible homage belongs in analysis.[5]

Where the image record stands

Rockstar's gallery lists 99 screenshots in its main set, with a separate twelve-image Vintage Vice City Pack collection attached to pre-orders. Those are gallery inventories, not a licence to describe every reposted shot as newly released.[6]

The change this autumn is the sequence of attributable releases: an album announcement, merchandise, Game Informer and then LOVE. Readers can use each event's date and source to distinguish new material from a recycled trailer frame. That makes the campaign easier to follow without treating every social post labelled new GTA VI screenshots as another announcement.[1][2][5][6]
